Write for us
We welcome clear, original pitches about clothing quality, fabric, garment construction, fit, care and considered buying. Proposals should give readers a useful way to understand or assess a specific subject without relying on hype.
What makes a good pitch
Name the subject, the reader question it answers and the main idea you would explain. Include a brief outline, the relevant clothing category and any sources or specialist input the piece would need. A focused comparison or explanation is stronger than a broad promise to cover style.
Writing standards
We look for original work, careful distinctions between fact and opinion, and specific examples that do not require readers to take a claim on trust. Disclose relevant commercial interests, avoid unsupported product claims and do not submit material copied from another outlet.
How to propose a piece
Send proposals through the Contact page and select the editorial question option. A pitch is a proposal, not a guarantee of publication; please do not send a completed article unless it has been requested.
Look closely. Choose on purpose.
A garment is more than its label or first impression. We pay attention to the details people can see, compare and consider for themselves.
